Six for Six

Day #6 in the Keeping in Clean Challenge. It’s the start of the weekend and I definitely cashed in on my 20% of not-healthy eating tonight! Woohoo! 😉

Breakfast:

Oats with honey and frozen berries

Morning Snack:

Pineapple rings

Lunch:

Chicken and salsa lettuce wraps and white sweet potato wedges

Afternoon Snack #1:

Mixed nuts & raisins

Afternoon Snack #2:

Lara Bar

Dinner:

California Steak Salad from Outback

Half of Brian’s fries

Dessert:

Yogurt, granola, chocolate chips and pomegrantes.

And then I finished off the rest of the granola… 🙂


Five Down, Two to Go!

I’m five days through my week of the Keeping it Clean Challenge and today was yet another one full of great, filling, healthy eats!

Breakfast:

Pancakes with Peanut Butter Protein Syrup & Pomegranates

Lunch:

Shrimp with leftover Tone It Up Pineapple Salsa Over Rice

Peanuts with Raisins (can you tell I’m obsessed with this right now?!)

Afternoon Snack #1:

Raspberry Protein Smoothie

Afternoon Snack #2:

Lara Bar

Dinner:

Turkey Burger with an Over Easy Egg, Green Beans & Homemade White Sweet Potato Wedges

Dessert:

Frozen Banana Slices with Peanut Butter & Dark Chocolate Chips

Four Down

Day four of the Keeping It Clean Challenge is over and I can’t explain how much of a difference I am already feeling in my body between Saturday and today.  It’s amazing what fueling yourself with healthy, good for you food can do for not only your physical well-being but also your emotional and spiritual well beings.  Energy levels are higher and I’m feeling great!

Today’s eats were invaded by recipes from Tone It Up‘s Nutrition Plan!  I finally had time to sit down and look through all of the recipes last night and I immediately picked out multiple that I couldn’t wait to make – two of which came into play in today’s clean eats.

Breakfast:

Oatmeal with Agave Nectar, Banana Slices & Raisins

Morning Snack:

Grapes and Banana Slices

Lunch:

Two Egg Scramble with Salsa & Black Beans.

Tone It Up‘s Peanut Butter & Jam Smoothie

Afternoon Snack:

Peanuts & Raisins

Dinner:

Tone It Up‘s Pineapple Chicken with Pineapple Salsa

Dessert:

Frozen Pomegranate Seeds with Dark Chocolate Chips

Clean for Three

Day Three of the Keeping it Clean Challenge has come and gone and I’m here to check in with my eats!

Breakfast:

Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie with Spinach

Morning Snack:

Lara Bar

Lunch:

Turkey Burger with a Lettuce Roll, Topped with Tomato & Avocado – Asparagus on the side

Afternoon Snack:

Peanuts with Raisins

Dinner:

Hummus with a tortilla & Mustard Chicken with Vegetables and Saffron Rice.

  • I was too full from the hummus to eat much of my chicken and rice but polished off the veggies!

Dessert:

Sliced Banana with Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate Chips
